This is why church folk and (fake) Christians get such a bad rap. They’re often suspicious of, and unwelcoming to newcomers. This could have been handled with more empathy—especially since she called ahead. This is NOT what Jesus would do. This is NOT an example of loving thy neighor—or her service dog. Foul!
I’m not Amish, just raising my kids that way. Really enjoy not having to share the computer with those bastards.
“I mean she saved ducklings out of the sewer, for God’s sakes.”
The soulless assholes in the grays are trying to prop this up as “it’s her lawyer! he has to do well for his client!” Well I’m pretty goddamn sure it’s possible to do well for your client without shitting on the graves of Black victims of police shootings and the Black Lives Matter protesters who came out to support…

There has to be more to this. Don’t get me wrong, there’s no excuse for *either* parent to subject a child to this type of abuse (and yes, a stepfather is a parent...they’re married), but there’s a couple things that got my spidey sense tingling:
Agreed. The fact that this poor child has (supposedly) two well cared for step siblings makes his situation all the more horrifying. It’s the difference between neglecting to feed someone and actively withholding food.
Sort of, yeah! Except you don’t have to wash off tornado or worry about the tornado on your clothing giving you radiation sickness.
Basically, the same places one might go in the event of a tornado.
