No one said they were taking out puzzles, but changing the way they'll be done, most likely with a more open world you'll have a lot of different options to taking on said puzzles. Also when you think of it all the Zelda games are pretty open world, they were just on a much smaller scale in comparison to this one.

As a Vita owner I understand how these people feel, at the very least port over the PSP version that japan got as a downloadable PSP/Vita game.
