And I do love a good mimosa!
Sign me up and pass the collection plate! I'M IN!!!!
I think I will pick this up. While I still have an entire bookcase dedicated to RPGs, I haven't actually played in almost a decade. My kids are approaching the age that I need to introduce them to the hobby and there are a group of people at church that have expressed interest in learning.
Even teenage boy me was like "nope"
Everybody - Christian propaganda movie - that means white people white people white people -
I agree. Rebuttals of people saying "... is just a theory" seem to me to focus their efforts in the wrong direction. Even in science, the word "theory" doesn't have a particularly elevated or protected status. It's not the case that once your ideas have been backed by a certain amount of evidence, stood up to a…
With regard to "theory," I actually have a problem with the prescriptivist view of language maintained by most of my colleagues (I'm a scientist) that denies the way people use everyday language. Take a look at the literal dictionary definition of theory: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/the… Are 6a and 6b…
well... kinda!
Wow — the similarity between these right wing nutjobs and mideast Mullahs just got even more obvious...
Let me guess- your Republicans are already sharpening their sword? As long as they don't shut down your Federal apparatus again in protest, like they did with the Affordable Healthcare Act (also known as "Smallest step possible to stop being the laughing stock of the Western World in the field of healthcare")
What progress? Limiting bandwith? Increasing buffering times? Increasing file sizes? Because adding pixels sure isn't progress. It's just a higher number for marketing sake. Pixels can only get so small before the human eye is unable to see them. Put a 47" 4k TV next to a 47" 16k TV and they'll look exactly the…
Great discussion. Fascinating. I've already got Dartnell's book, and can't wait to read The Sixth Extinction—and your book, as well.
Annie in leather restraints and a hospital gown with a smile on her face is...doing things to me.
That's the thing. 95% of those who hate RPGs have never actually seen a game being played. If they had, they would realize that the only way it will destroy someone's life is by killing them with boredom while waiting for their fricking buddy to make up his fricking mind about what fricking spell to use.
Ok, I had to check just once more. I'm going to hate myself in the morning. ALL extremists should be mocked. People who refuse to consider evidence of any nature on principle alone should be mocked into compliance, or at least submission. Right? All theists, including the Atheist. To single out one group without…
The lack of huge battles was not because of budgetary constraint, it developed suspense so that the final battle would seem more grand in comparison. Everything wrapped up phenomenally at the end and you could see that the people who were in charge of the movie really knew their stuff about Godzilla.
Also excellent for stopping necromancers.
I like how your honest question lured mimiyoung, Ryan, deepool, hosea, and MikeThoth all into revealing their own ignorance of science. Good work.
For fucks sake, tone down the alarmist click bait bullshit.
