LOL. Come on, that can't be the best way to be relevant in the SEC.

Ok Deadspinites, I would like some advice. I have a friend (isn't that how your supposed to start?) that is a fan of a college team that is the worst in the SEC in regards to football, but kicks ass in basketball. It seems obvious that barring a miracle our well-liked homegrown coach is probably going to be sacked

I knew the couple that lived in the house but not well. I had visited their house on a few occasions with my father. They were an elderly couple (70ish) and never had any children. The husband was a retired IBM engineer and I do not know if the wife ever had a profession. I know they never had kids because my father

Sorry, I just copied and pasted the story from my original blog entry.

This is going to sound stupid, but I don't have permission to post a link to his blog (or that particular post) but he did give permission to add the link when I first posted my blog entry.

Oh what the hell. I have been posting on io9 for several years now and never told this story. Why? Because it is insane. But since I posted it on my blog a few years ago, I have already released it to the wild. Here is that blog post in its entirety. Feel free to label me a nutjob.

Unless you have a family. I don't know anyone with a spouse or kids that doesn't have life insurance. So, I think you are wrong saying that "most people don't go around buying life insurance." In fact, it is a pretty selfish not to buy it if you have loved ones.

I am curious, why don't you just dual boot Windows on your MacBook Pro?

Robert, I believe the Fresh Prince would like a few words.

I applaud your effort.

In my undergraduate days I had a WWII class that was hard. Like, it was the classical definition of memorizing dates, battles, generals, weapons, etc. but towards the end of the semester the professor "wasted" two classes by showing the Kenneth Brannagh film "Conspiracy". A film about men sitting around a dinner

For those curious. Here is a link to an excellent collection of important websites from the same era via the Internet Archive.

In 1996, it would have been an excellent example of a professionally produced website.
