"Just plays video games and masturbates" eh?

The pussification of America in full effect! oh wait...

I thought the idea of the final chapters was interesting because you learned a lot about the enemy, but I felt like we knew way more than the good guys did. Like, they should have changed their behavior knowing what they knew.

Behold, my fellow Core Male Gamer! You see the Ess Jay Double-yew Agenda laid bare before you! First it starts with the claims that "I have outgrown the violence" and this may seem a reasonable enough claim to make, but that's simply the bait: the wriggling worm on the Hook of Unethics to get you to bite. Because

"Cassie Cage's X-Ray move, where she thwacks the groin of an opponent with a volleyball dig and you see two testicles explode, is funny. It is. It made me cringe, it made others gasp aloud, but it's funny." He knows it's funny

I hope that they just include meaningless characters called "Fiend Slayer" or "Friend Player" or whatever, just to distract us and make us think that character will be important.

As a gamer who also played the original in the arcade, I see where you're coming from. I think the reason why I liked the first 2 so much was because the gore and fatalities were short, sweet, and to the point. Uppercut someone's head off: boom, that's a fatality. Rip someone's heart out: done, that's a fatality.

i find joel beating the crap out of somoene with a 4x4 in last of us worse than the over the top stuff you see in mk.

#NintendoNetflixPitch is a delightful hashtag currently trending on Twitter. Basically people are making up their own boardroom pitches for Nintendo properties turned into TV shows. And it's great.

Frankly, an animated retelling of Wind Waker, pig-throwing and all, would be absolutely perfect.

It's like One Piece but the hero is actually a child, not just mentally. And people don't die too often, and there aren't too many pirates and, uh, okay, so it's not like One Piece.

Well, he talks in the various comic/manga adaptations, most of which turned out pretty good. If this was an animated show, they technically already have official (Japanese) voice actors for Link that they could use (the guy who provides the grunts and yells). But I really don't see how this would work in a live-action

I love how this is now how the internet works. 15 years ago scientists wondered how people would adapt to such technology, little did they know it would be placing Kevin Spacey's face on Link's body.

Hi fives everyone, humanity has made another major step forward.

Wait, wait, wait, WHAT?! Excited and terrified at the same time.

That does not sound like a good idea.

I see IGN is starting April Fools a little early this year ....

When asked for comment, Link had this to say:

JRPG's were perfect back in the day when you got one game for your birthday and needed the game to last as long as possible.

"Similar to Romancing SaGa 3, instead of leveling up normally, you level up your characters' individual weapons and skills by using them in battle."

This sounds like artifical difficulty bullshit by simply having a scarce supply of progress saving coupled with lots of grinding. Which is not a good thing. Of course some difficulty in RPGs comes from enemies having greater power then yourself, but it's how that's used, like when you're gonna have a tough boss or one

I've been waiting for the "Tupac effect" to cross over into other artistic mediums (although Lee is still alive). I feel really bad for her if she never wanted the book published and I wouldn't want to read it for that reason. Maybe they can create a hologram of her for the book tour (photo-shopped, of course).
