Spot-on.

In my experience relationships mean talking about pretty much everything and having no secrets or shame, so of course crushes are discussed. I would feel weird if my partner didn't want to divulge such trivial information.

Well I thought I used an obvious joking tone, it's not really that big a deal.

Indie games are mostly niche but if you add up all the niche audiences together, niche audiences who refuse to game on PC (which is a lot of people), then you end up with a sizable group who are looking to your console first.

I like a few indie games quite a bit, but the hype around them is what's overdone. They're niche titles for niche audiences, but the gaming press like to pretend everything in gaming has the potential to be mainstream. It doesn't.

Right on, remembered it as soon as you said something. I even remember Moffat saying "can't have a season of Doctor Who without a Dalek" in the commentary track.

Were they in Season 6? I don't remember them being in it.

I don't think you understand what objective means.

I'm saying everyone's views on peoples' looks are subjective. I don't know why this would be a bad statement, it seems pretty obvious to me.

Objectively is not a word I would use when evaluating people's looks, that's the whole point.

I'm not arguing against the latter part, that's why I keep using the term subjective. I'm saying if we're mad at Hollywood for casting Sally Field as Gump's mom we should probably step back and realize they totally sold that, she looks 20+ years older than him in the movie.

Those pictures don't change my perception, sorry. *shrug*

It's obviously subjective perception because to me Kate Winslet looks MUCH older than Dicaprio, and Sandra Bullock looks about her age, and looks like her face is unnaturally smooth due to botox or some other work being done on it. Those women look 40+ trying to look younger, Dicaprio and Depp legitimately look young

Subjective experience obviously, but for me a 30<X<50 year old man tends to look younger than a 30<x<50 year old woman. And yes I'm sure how closely society analyzes a woman's appearance is a factor there.

Women dating older men is commonplace in society itself though, not surprising it's commonplace in movies. If anything it's getting less common, rather than more common.

I'm not really disagreeing with anything you said but oftentimes I think it can simply be blamed on men more easily looking younger than their age than women can. Fair or not fair.

Yeah I read that and was severely disappointed. Didn't really want to come back to this old thread to discuss it though. Good on you for doing so however.

If you elaborate on this and list turn-based combat as a relic we're coming to blows, my friend.

Gonna wait on a patch or two before I play it, but games like this coming out makes me so happy. I grew up on PC classics in the 90s, and have been one of those people grumbling for years about crappy watered-down multiplatform stuff. Seeing true PC RPGs coming back into style warms the old heart.

I know it's on PC in Europe because it's on GOG, and GOG only sells stuff worldwide. I'm sure this game would run on a 5 year old laptop so why not play it that way?
