I mean the simple answer there is that you’d rather have your family take care of these decisions than the government. Why would the state get to decide rather than his parents?

Everyone using it to their benefit is pretty normal nowadays, sadly. However I do admit I find it crazy that they could have the money and the desire but the government blocks them anyway. That definitely lends Credence to the idea of conserving Freedom by keeping the government out of health care. I know no one will

The actual answer no one is going to give you on a liberal-leaning website like this is that the government in a system like this has final say, not the parents. When conservatives talk about Healthcare not going to the government because of Freedom, this is what they are talking about. Moderates like myself try to

Really? Because other than Apocalypse the recent films have been pretty great.

I don’t really mind the recasting since it’s been so long. My issue is more that I think the modern shows should be separate from the classic show as much as possible. The vast majority of people never watched the old show, and it was a very different thing.

Both sides push their own bias and finding factual centrist news is insanely difficult nowadays. No one on Jezebel is going to agree with that though.

While I would normally agree, and want these movies to be more unique, if it’s a Han Solo prequel it pretty much needs to match the character. Rumor is they weren’t doing that.

All these Indie directors are hired under the presumption that they will quickly cave to Studio demands. Obviously these two did not.

Our system revolves around the idea that letting 100 guilty people go is better than convicting one innocent person. It’s a scary idea to change that. Not going to happen.

Jury trial are flawed as hell but there’s no better alternative really.

There are multiple reasons. The nicest one is probably the idea of “it’s so hard to make new classic characters, so we need to change some classic characters for diversity reasons.” I think that’s a cop out on having new ideas, like most of the industry suffers from, but at least there’s a noble goal behind

I grew up watching Sigourney Weaver kick ass in the Aliens movies and have thus never understood why people acted like a female-led action movie was a weird concept. Can’t believe we don’t have more of them.

Sure, but I’m not really sure that defeats my point. It’s still a reboot. The 1989 Batman was a reboot I guess, if you consider the 60 series. They were both widely accepted and praised. You can do a reboot just fine, but there needs to be a quality Movie behind it. Also probably a decent amount of time between them,

I get the theory, but he’s just obviously computer-generated. I really think it’s an eyesight thing. I’m not trying to be mean. He’s just obviously not real if you look at it at all.

I haven’t played video games in a few years. I heard Morrowind remake and rush to Kotaku to see what was what. Once I saw the term MMO I was done. Sad face.

Other reboots have been very successful, like Batman Begins and Casino Royale. I really think it just depends on if the movie is good or not. This one wasn’t quite there.

I see that written about CGI Peter Cushing all the time and I just don’t believe it. He is so obviously not a real person. A lot of people have really small TVs or really poor eyesight I guess.

Vast majority of people are not going to give something 4 to 5 hours to hook them. If I’m not hooked by the end of the first episode I’m out. Not saying TV shows need to be action spectacles all the time or anything like that, but there’s a reason directors and editors constantly talk about pacing.

This is how I feel about every serialized television show pretty much. I love movies, I love slow movies, I love character study movies. Serialized TV in those areas is just too damn slow. Nothing happens for hours.

Gay stuff aside I agree in general that loud fans of XYZ on the internet do not equal actual viewers, and the vast majority of viewers don’t care about agendas, only story.
