This one's my oldest saved draft from my Hotmail account. My buddy and I used to send emails like this back and forth while in college. I was at UMCP and I remember typing this at the main computer lab on campus on a Mac. All the good computer labs were Macs back then. This came from my first web email account -

Good observation.

Damn, now we've gone from the nuclear arms race to the mega-pixel race.

Number 3 is not trolling.

About the Sony NEX...

I bought my daughter one of these (non-GlowLight). It's awesome. What many tech-heads don't realize is that the screens apparent resolution is better than a color LCD with RGB array because the monochrome display is one element per pixel. Contrast is excellent and resolution is tack-sharp.

Things aren't quite that simple:

Cool. Maybe it can see far back enough into the past, that it's view spans the circumference of the universe (at whatever radial point we are from the "center" of the universe) so we can see the our Milkyway galaxy as it formed.

At that resolution, comics books will look better on the iPad than in print. That's the value proposition I needed to actually consider paying for digital versions.

I have a sinking feeling that this is how James Cameron will go down in the end :( Let's hope this dive is about more than hubris.

The company I work for gave everyone iPads for Christmas in 2010. Since then, it's been my most used device, next to my laptop (Alienware) and iPhone 3Gs. I use it every day.

I am a camera nerd and I approve this message.

It works just fine for me.

Nah, the volume rocker is fine. My only problem is the screen adhesion. Can't complain, though. It works. Plus, I forget to mention that the web browser also runs Adobe Flash, which means my little kids can occasionally play on starfall.com with it. I really do wish the iPad at least had the option of running

I snagged a 32GB Touchpad during the firesale and I have to admit that the hardware is decent, though no where near the build quality of the iPad (comparing to iPad 1).
