I checked the same thing and agree. they are also not a solid color with the front corner being much lighter than the back.

plus if we really want to get technical, the colors of the squares in real life may be identical, but not in the video we are watching. Due to the lighting and how the recording device actually picks up the colors they are similar but different (and are actually more of a gradiant than a solid color.)

They did have Killer Croc, Zsaz, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Bane, Harley and Joker all as seperate "bosses" in the first game with cameos or knods to just about every one else and it didnt feel overly full.
