Ah I remember my first foray into Independent comics. Picked up an issue of "Zen: Intergalatic Ninja" as a kid. That led me into a crazy world of Bone, Cerebus and so many more.

I disagree (respectfully of course). I find the "multiples" of some characters allow better and more varied stories to be told. The guy who grew up reading batman in the 50s and 60s wants a different batman story than I would, and I'm sure the Kid who just started reading 10 years ago wants an even different story.…

Age of Apocalypse got me into the X-men. I was already into comics but the x-men mythos was too thick with way too many characters. I picked up AoA because of how cool it looked and its still one of my favorite old stories to pick up and read through.
