Years back I was watching a bootleg of Sonic X (Sonic the Hedgehog anime, don't judge me). I don't remember what the context of the scene was - it may have been after a battle or action scene - but I do strongly remember Sonic pausing, looking directly at the viewer, and with a warm smile proclaiming simply, "Cloaca".

The True Blood logo is so ugly. Every time I see it I wonder what the heck the deal is - why are some of the letters connected and others are not, why are the U and E wonky, why is the E squashed? The 'Blood' looks bad being squished smaller than the 'True' as well. Simply a hideous logo. Is there any method to its

At least they'll save us from the Tripods before that, though.

My reaction upon reading about the attack on the bottle brush was "Oh crap, hit left and right repeatedly to detach them before it's too late!". Everyone knows that if the enemy leaves portions of itself on you which then proceeded to flash, they're going to blow up. Truly cephalopod warfare is a threat we need to

Anno worked on Nausicaa's God Warrior scenes, so there you go. In fact, it seems that the God Warrior is still influencing designs in Eva - compare the pictures here http://forum.evageeks.org/thread/9587/The-Beast-and-Nausicaas-God-Warrior/ and note the circles on the God Warrior's chest here

I'm 28 and still have mine. The mic still works, with its eerie whistle and crashy noises when you bump it. This and the Jurassic Park Electronic Command Compound will have to be pried from my cold, dead hands.

I got nostalgic last week and went looking for that old Ain't It Cool report. According to this http://www.hitfix.com/motion-captured/universal-sends-rise-of-the-planet-of-the-apes-writers-to-jurassic-park the writer of that article never had a digital copy of the script, which makes me sad, as I really want to read

If it doesn't make it into JP4, there's always Dinosaurs vs Aliens. One-Eye the vengeful Rex flying an Alien craft up into the motherships' schism tip, quoting the Prez from Independence Day for good measure.

One of my favorite aspects of Jurassic Park is the dinosaur sounds. I find how they did it fascinating, and I wish more films would 'create' unique sounds for their creatures rather than recycling stock noises (which the JP Rex roar has actually become. Also, the Skitters in Falling Skies spout JP raptor sounds all

Warehouse 13's Artifacts were born during a mysterious event that occurred inside Room 10 at the Sunshine Motel in 1961. Artifacts that predate 1961 in origin have their powers due to one of the Objects working to retroactively affect them - possibly a combination of the Comb and the Wristwatch, or perhaps another

Whereabouts? I've watched both of the Rebuild films about five times and haven't noticed it (but I'm always discovering new things in 'em. I love Blu-ray :D). All I can think of is the Thunder Spear (the weapon Mari uses that has a foldout bayonet), but I doubt you're talking about that. Please let me know.

Had another glance through the comic and noticed that "Dominion" is the title of the first chapter. Back of the book has io9's "Shut up and eat your awesome" quote on it, too :D

I got the comic in the mail today, and it looks really cool - the art is great. I don't want to devour it all in one go though - I might try spread it out over the week. What's weird is that it's hard cover, which is nice but makes it a little worrying opening the book right up (creak creak creak, ugh I don't want to

I don't pay much attention to the channel now (mainly because I watch most of my shows on DVD or online) but the only anime they've had on the Aussie SciFi Channel (far as I've noticed) was a block that aired GitS Standalone Complex, Black Lagoon and Blood + (their license for Blood ran out before they showed the

The pangolin is one of my favourite animals (yes, I have a list). It's much cooler than an armadillo, though I like those little guys too.

It's a creature known only as the 'Future Predator' from Primeval. It was the first creature to come through an anomaly (time portal) from the future rather than the past. It is a descendant of bats, though it cannot fly. It's very fast moving and is probably the most commonly recurring creature in the entire series.

Sorry to do the old 'this looks like x' thing, but the four eyes really look like that of Eva-02, particularly from the side. This guy's much cuter, though.

Ah, I loved this one! *In his best evil, gravely drawl* ..The SUSAN SYSTEM.

Ordered the comic a few days ago, must be on its way to my mailbox by now. Looking forward to getting it. The idea of having no dialogue for the dinosaurs in the film version (there are at least a few 'narration' boxes in the preview pages for the comic. The aliens apparently speak, though I don't know whether it'll
