I find this more interesting, though it may just be because the graphics are better. I guess Miku's first and foremost for everything 'virtual reality' now, because this uses her too.
About half a year ago I found a radio channel that plays an asian pop show around the time I head home from work. I always liked japanese music but had never listened to korean music outside of a couple of SES songs over a decade ago. Anyway, the show is about 80% k-pop and I'm now more a fan of that than j-pop. I can…
Yay, Man After Man pops up again - I remember that cute round whiskery chap. It's been many years since I saw it, but I loved that book, as well as being a little scared of it at the same time. I never got to see any of the other related books. I should try hunt them down - I especially wanted to check out The New…
I was trying to track down Baby just a couple of days ago, to no avail. It's probably on Youtube actually... *looks* ah, it is, for a small fee.
She can do so much better. I don't know why she's in this sort of thing.
I haven't read the books, but because I may hunt them down I haven't read any synopsis of them. Thus I don't know what moments you're referring to, and I don't know about Zabulon's deep twilight form, but it sounds completely awesome anyway. Even without knowing anything past the name it's conjuring up some cool…
I think they were sharing the energy that one of them had sucked up from the gas station's electronics. They were starving for electrical energy and yet one still shared it with another. I think it was to show that they weren't just monsters. Perhaps I'm wrong, but was my take on it.
I wanted a 'Dusk Watch' until I saw Day Watch (which was just a few weeks ago, actually. I re-watched Night Watch before seeing DW). That film completed the movie version's story pretty well, and I read that despite being named after the second book (Day Watch) the movie actually mainly draws its content from the…
I really hope this turns out impressively, too. I love giant monsters and I want intense battles with interesting and varied creatures. I obsessed over 'Cloverfield', but past the first viewing where everything was a surprise it doesn't have a lot of replay value. The only parts of 'Monsters' I have any real desire to…
Absolutely fantastic, evildead.
We have the 'space porn', 'map porn' and even - if I remember correctly - 'geophysical porn' tags. With all of the cephalopod articles io9 has, I'm honestly shocked we haven't just gone with it and labelled them all 'tentacle porn'.
The lips were also made out of shredded condoms.
They should do Blade 4, set several years after the end of the previous one. Blade has been held captive all this time in some kind of... let's say, prison, for not 'paying his dues', but now he's out - and finds that in his absence vampires have taken over civilisation. Vampires are everywhere, walking the streets,…
In the previous article that mentioned this show (one of the cartoon listings) it was entitled "Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters". I loved the previous Duel Masters (gag dub and all). Cool to see the franchise revived in the western world.
Thank you, this is what I came here for.
The discus fish even has a 'ring of fire' around the pupil, which is awesome. The macaw's eye is very 'lunar' and the python's eye reminds me of a gas giant or nebula. I also like that the caiman's eye resembles the surface of swampy water.
Invasion is directed by Shinji Aramaki, who did the CG Appleseed and its sequel. So yeah, it'll be out in Japan first I guess.
I believe there is still the intent to do a 'reboot' film that follows the book more closely. Hopefully after this CG film comes out it will be easier to know what someone's talking about when they mention a new ST film (I'm pretty sure I saw an article that gave the proposed live action film the title of "Invasion",…
I love this track and the video, which is equal parts awesome and disturbing. I hadn't seen it in a long time though, so thank you for putting it here (though I had to click through for it to play. Window too small? That's a new one). For some reason I find myself quoting the "You're not happy" from time to time in…
