NGP release is the only factor making me buy this. Otherwise, I wouldn't even bother. Raven is doing the MP though... Which is a shame because I want a Singularity sequel NOW.

Cannot wait! Finally finished my good playthrough last week in anticipation. Anybody know if SP's allowing players to import saves? And this is going to be the first collector's edition I buy- that backpack looks sweet!

What he means is that God finally allowed judgment to be placed upon WBC. It's a valid point.

Read This Side of Paradise. Like, now. That and Beautiful and Damned are both fantastic.

Indeed. Some of our best left due to the change, which is a shame, because Kotaku is really the most commenter focused of the Gawker sites.

Now playing

This, along with Battle LA and the new X Men flick, is my most anticipated film to see. Can't wait.

Singularity! If you haven't played it, pick it up NOW!!!! Best FPS of last year bar none and you should be able to find it for $30 or less.

Lightning Thief's fantastic! Enjoy!

Seriously? Your brother took those?

Triple post. All right.

Triple post. I blame the layout.

I totally get the taste thing. My teacher harps on us to try to read more poetry, but poetry's not my thing by any means. The prose is bloody brilliant. Every time I read Gatsby, I get transported to this magical world, where anything was possible and America was glamorous. Fitzgerald was a master of his craft. Have

I'm in AP now. We don't read Gatsby at my school (junior year is nonfiction, senior year is fiction but not necessarily Fitzgerald or Hemingway) but I read it on my own and had a discussion with my teacher about it. The length is a great benefit IMO. Due to the shortness I've read it quite a few times and I love it

Yep, the movie's being directed by Baz Luhrmann. DiCaprio as Gatsby, Tobey Maguire as Nick, and Carey Mulligan as Daisy. [nymag.com]

Seeing a lot of comments about how awful Gatsby is. Here's my take. Gatsby's my all time favorite book. Why? For one, the setting entrances me. The 20s just seems like such a romantic period that we're never going to attain again. It's not possible. There's still a sense of innocence and optimism then, when now, our

LOVED Gatsby. You basically nailed why Fitzgerald's my all time favorite author. Read This Side of Paradise next.

I feel the exact opposite (in HS AP now). I think Catcher's hopelessly overrated and Gatsby is pure brilliance. I can kind of connect to Nick because I currently live in a similar country club atmosphere and I'm just stunned at what goes on. Best American fiction book ever? In my opinion, yes.

Ah. I'm not a Twitter guy so thanks for pointing that out. You get a heart.

Here's the thing though. It wasn't the editors' faults. It was Denton, their boss, who forced this on them. I love the editors here; they're the best on the net.
