Well it’s not do much about the “joy” of pushing a button to start your car. It's about the convenience of not having to take your keys out of your pocket. Keyless entry is all well and good, but if you still need to take your keys out to start the car, then meh. With push start, the keys never leave your pocket. It's

For me the push button start is more about completing the keyless entry package. If you have keyless entry, but no push button, then you still have to take the key out of your pocket to start the car. With push button start, you eliminate the need to ever take your keys out of your pocket, which is very convenient.

Totally forgot to list that one. You’re right!

Absolutely agree I should have included that. Forgot about it!

Haha, maybe what you need is DUAL ZONE automatic climate control! I didn’t get that specific in the list because I didn’t want to seem like I was getting TOO fancy with my list of “necessities” but that’s what my car has, and I’ve found that neither of us ever have to touch the fan speed if we are both allowed to set

I ALMOST put that in (I was basically just listing things my BRZ has, and dual-zone is what mine is, but I didn’t want to get TOO fancy with the list and start an argument.) However, I absolutely agree with you. When you have someone of the opposite sex sitting next to you, being able to set two different temperatures

Ahh yes, I forgot about that. Indeed another thing on the, “would never go back to not having it” list.

Hmm. Well I’ve only had one car with it (my current one) so maybe some of the others suck, but I was actually really impressed with this one. It dims variably, and generally works so well that it just became something I don’t even notice at all anymore, despite the fact that it is always working to varying degrees.

Haha. Perhaps “necessary” is the wrong word to use. I just get into these arguments all the time in the Toyobaru groups, but it’s a bit of a different story there. On one side, you have the FR-S owners. The FR-S basically came with NONE of the fancy creature comforts (safe for the special editions), whereas the BRZ

In b4 all the people who have never owned a car with heated seats (or who bought the base model without them) make a scene about how unnecessary heated seats are.

Things that are “unnecessary” until you live with them and then decide you never want another car without them ever again:
- Heated seats
- Heated mirrors
-

The cars in blade runner look cool. This just looks stupid.

Eliminating less expensive options is a great way to lock out younger buyers from your brand before they have the job/income to afford your more expensive options. Instead, they will become loyal to whatever brand their first car is... which isn’t going to be yours any more. Seem like a very short-sighted solution, as

I really, truly don't understand how posting that I drive my $25,000, cheap, slow, underpowered BRZ in the winter can possibly come across as any form of bragging. Would I be bragging even more if I posted that I drove a more expensive Toyota Camry in the winter? The only point I was making was that RWD is fine in the

Nobody says “stopped”-to-60, so the use of that word begs the question of whether or not there is a distinction that none of us are aware of.

There are two different points being made in all these arguments. First there are people telling me that my BRZ has no power, and therefore isn’t at all the same as driving a Corvette, or other high horsepower vehicle in the snow. To them my reply is simple: even my underpowered car has more than enough power to spin

You have LITERALLY no idea what you’re talking about. Even my BRZ in the snow will easily spin the rears with almost no throttle. No differently than a 2,000 HP car will. Modern traction control doesn’t care how much HP your car has. It will prevent wheelspin period. Or do you somehow think that higher HP cars are

I LOL'd.

I mean, they could have been caught out in a freak storm too, but given the forecast, this storm wasn't a surprise, really. Even if it was, just stop and call a tow truck or something. It just isn't worth binning your car. If I'm driving on racing slicks, and it suddenly starts to POUR rain, I'll just pull over and

I mean, I’m basing my assumption on the fact that I’ve literally seen TONS of idiots crash their cars while on summer tires. Hell, I literally saw a post earlier today from someone who wrecked, and when I asked what tires he was on, be said “summer tires, but they did fine last year.” Of COURSE it’s just an

The sentence directly preceding my “too much power” statement was literally meant to ensure that people would understand that I was referring to much more powerful vehicles (such as the Corvette), and not my own car. I guess I should have known that there would be people in here who would completely ignore the context
