Automation is indeed a new technology that needs to be addressed, but the calls to “REDUCE AUTOMATION” in the cockpit are knee-jerk reactions from people who don’t fully-understand the automation they are asking be removed. Lots of people in the comments here who are quick to fault the location of the tanks, despite having absolutely NO understanding of the design requirements and constraints for these kinds of vehicles.

Lol. I do 10,000 mile interval oil changes on my BRZ. I’ve basically done an entire season of autocross on the same oil.

One possible theory is that the FA20 is still a *relatively* new engine for Subaru. Unlike the EJ25 which has been around since WWII. Perhaps there are nuances in this engine design that make this timing cover reseal slightly more difficult than the older engine, and technicians simply don’t have enough experience
