I guess that would make sense, but the wording seems to mean NOT that, unless they meant to say “shall not be operated IN LIEU OF headlights.” Still, even that is weird. I’m not aware of a single vehicle sold in the US that allows you to independently turn on the fog lights. All of the vehicles I’ve ever driven

Oregon Revised Statute (ORS 811.515 Section (8) states: A light other than a headlight, that projects a beam of light of an intensity greater than 300 candle power shall not be operated on a vehicle: (b) when use of low beams of the vehicle headlight system is required under limited visibility conditions.

After 4 real-world years of ownership, the number of times I’ve found myself needing out-accelerate a minivan, and getting out accelerated, at any speed, remains at precisely zero ;)

I know this is just supposed to be a swipe at the BRZ’s lack of power, but “lugging” an engine has nothing to do with that, so... bad troll is bad!

But then we’re back to square one: dick-measuring a car based on raw numbers instead of real-world performance. I mean sure, you could argue that “well lots of torque has real-world implications because you COULD stay in 4th and accelerate without shifting” which isn’t untrue, but most people are going to downshift if

Yeah, even cruising at 20 MPH in 4th gear would be lugging the engine. Point is 4th gear is dumb for this test. At least at the speeds stated.

2nd gear would make more sense here. Or 3rd maybe. 4th is silly. In an automatic, it would downshift to 2nd. In a manual, if you aren’t downshifting from 4th, you such at manual-ing. Pretty sure I’d be lugging the engine in my BRZ if I tried to do this in 4th.

I already paid it. I agree it’s kinda bullshit, but technically I did violate the law, so fighting it wouldn’t do ME any good, most likely, unless the judge is in a great mood or something, lol

I always am extra careful at red light camera intersections. Unfortunately, I simply missed the sign this time, so I had no idea it even was one, lol.

Right in the middle of downtown, where cops abound, and they probably got away with it, too. Meanwhile, I got a $100 fine in the mail for this minor mistake in a Chicago suburb last week. I failed to come to a COMPLETE stop. Even sillier, traffic from the left had a red light, as only one direction gets the green at a

You suck at being even remotely close to anything resembling reasonable.

The fact that every single one of these photos looks straight out of the movie is pretty fucking cool.

Not sure how it’s unfair. At the end of the day, the result is the same. It’s not like if you crash a gas-powered car, the obstacle you hit is going to go, “Oh, those poor people have a giant engine in the front of the car. Let’s go easy on them!”

“Despite... a general pointlessness...”

It’s hard to imagine your housecat as a particularly savvy killer.

It’s a track car. Have you ever followed another car on a track at 150 MPH? Do you know what gravel and other debris kicked up by the car in front of you does to you when you’re traveling at that speed? Lol.

I mean, I know this is exaggerating a bit, but you could really dumb your argument down and apply it to any technology in cars.

“A RADIO?! PEOPLE NEED TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE ROAD, NOT GET LOST IN OTHERWORLDLY STORIES AND NEWS!!!”

“CRUISE CONTROL?!?! PEOPLE NEED TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE ROAD! THE MORE RESPONSIBILITY YOU

I don’t know the first thing about metal fabrication, but I can appreciate your irritation. For example, just last week I ripped some kid a new one on one of our local Facebook groups. He’s trying to “make it big” with his YouTube channel and has started creating these video guides of how to do things. His latest is a

I, too, lack the patience to read more than the first three sentences of an article before commenting.
