They’ve gotten MUCH better. Go into a dealership and see for yourself instead of relying on one random comment on the internet ;)

Just do a bit of critical thinking and you can answer this yourself:

You must be one of those people who scoffs at the Kia Stinger because “Kia only makes cheap, crappy, throw-away cars” right? Maybe try sitting in a recent model before making baseless claims based on your experience from 10-15 years ago...

I got my 2015 BRZ Series.Blue for $27,350 when MSRP was $30,000. I dunno how I managed that one. Well, I mean... I asked and they said yes, lol.

Time and again I am blown away by the number of people who are incapable of seeing multiple, blatantly obvious visual cues that a video is fake. Like... I get that these days computer graphics are getting quite real... but c’mon, people. Put just a tiny bit of *critical thinking* into... oh, right. People. Critical

I went with Nest stuff and I’m glad I did, because I love the feature set, the app, and everything, really. OMG my security camera goes down for a few hours each year. WHAT A HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE PRODUCT!!!

I agree with you there. Odds are, she would have been less likely to crash into the fire truck.

Again, I’m not saying Autopilot worked well in this case. I’m just saying that for every bad case, there are many good cases. The same as with human drivers. For every human that runs over a small child, there are many human

I’m not sure I agree with your statement. There does appear to be a specific scenario (bright, red, flashing object directly ahead) that it struggles with (and I’m not pretending that isn’t a big deal) but that doesn’t preclude all of the other scenarios where Autopilot might very well be better than the average,

I’m not talking about hesitancy. I’m talking about all of the active lobbying, rallying, protesting, etc... that all but stagnated the nuclear industry due to the amount of bad press back in the day. Hell, even Hollywood got on board with it at one point.

I would think we could start with being a bit more responsible with our headlines. As you said, it’s all about attention and ad money, so the headlines are written in the most sensationalist way possible. Most of the time they are written so as to make it sound as though autopilot was the main issue. For example,

Sure, it would be irresponsible not to be critical of a new technology... but you also have to be careful in this age of “trending news” and easily-shared information.

This kind of coverage, however “responsible” it might be, tends to bias the less-informed folks. And the less-informed folks are the majority of folks,

Filed Under: What the hell ELSE did he think was going to happen?!

Sometimes you have to stop and marvel at some of the things we can achieve. This thing is 6,523 light years away... and yet a few of us puny humans here on earth are able to tell when its speed changes by .000015 RPM.

Like, sure we still need to solve world hunger and stuff, but c’mon, how cool is that?!

This is such a short-sighted comment that it’s actually quite infuriating. Lots of things “worked” until we improved upon them. Keyless entry systems are SO much more convenient. You want to eliminate that convenience because a handful of arguably stupid people didn’t bother to read the instructions?

Also a broken-off HVAC control knob set to full heat... in the dead of summer.

I know this is beating a dead horse, but the stance fad needs to end. Along with the #RespectAllBuilds retort you get when you tell them how dumb their 15 degrees of camber, crazy stretched wheels, 1mm of ground clearance, etc... is.

So how does this work? Do you guys set up my week-long test drive of some random, fancy car through your manufacturer connections, or, like, do I call them myself, and enter some special code, or will they call me, or...?

FINALLY! My own, personal $kaygirl! Yaaaaaayyy!

This is interesting. It’s worth noting (as I’m sure nobody will bother reading the article before flaming Subaru) that this apparently wasn’t so much to “cheat” emissions testing by pretending to comply with the limits, as it was an attempt to minimize the standard deviation of the test results. Some cars’ numbers

I’m getting a lot more than a hint of Lamborghini, lol.
