I can compare this to a 2016 Mustang. At the end of the day, the cars are so wildly different that it isn’t really useful to compare them directly. The Mustang has gobs of power, and a big, comfy interior with lots of fancy features. The BRZ has neither of these things, but getting into a Mustang after driving the BRZ

Agreed! The new Toyota front end is... awkwaarddddd. It looks like they made a model, and then accidentally left it near the stove or something and the front end melted slightly.

As with most technological advances, one of, if not THE biggest barriers to forward progress will always be the end user’s willingness to adapt.

Keyless Entry is a good example. My BRZ has keyless entry. I walk up to my car, and as I near the door, interior lights fade on. I grab the handle and the door unlocks. I get

What are the main differences between the Miata and the BRZ? I’m curious. Which generation Miata, by the way?

Hmm. To each their own, I suppose. It isn’t blazingly fast in a straight line, but I’ve not driven a car that handles the way this car does, and I love the “inertia-less” feeling you get from a light-weight car.

Several reasons:

1. My DD wheels are 18s, which aren’t ideal for autocross/track days (heavy, and tires are much more expensive.) I wanted lighter 17s with cheaper tires to chew up on weekends.
2. I didn’t want to completely kill the fun, slidey nature of the car. The Michelin Pilot Super Sports are MUCH stickier than

Did you test drive it around the block at 20 MPH? Because I did, too, and I walked away disappointed. Then I test drove it again down a twisty back road and I fell in love. The car SUCKS on the standard dealership test drive. In fact, if anything it’s beyond suck because that kind of a route exacerbates all of the

I’ve driven a supercharged one (don’t remember which kit it had) and it was fantastic, and I want it soooo bad. I’m just broke, lol.

When other people say it “doesn’t have enough power,” I tell them they don’t understand the point of the car.
Then I go home and Google superchargers because I certainly wouldn’t mind another 50-100 HP :P
It’s definitely not as under-powered as people insist it is, though. Some people seem to think it’s literally

I wasn’t about to BARELY squeeze into a single spot and then have my front bumper all scuffed by some soccer mom in a Sequoia!!!

The trailer I’m towing is 650 lb total, so yes :)
You can find out more about my setup in this blog post.

So much fun! I think my KW V3s are being pushed to their limits with my RE71Rs, though, lol. Leaning more than a new Miata! :P

Yes. That IS what it does best, lol. At least on the stock tires :P

I hate stance. I refuse to “accept all types of modifications,” or “respect the build.” There are some things that are just plain stupid. I realize I will be flamed to hell for saying this, but I don’t care.

The only stance-related happiness I can derive is that (as a BRZ owner) every time a stanced Toyobaru is posted

I just don’t like when people make knee-jerk replies to comments half-way down in a thread without bothering to understand the context of the comment. It clutters up the conversation, and adds nothing useful to the discussion.

You didn’t post a trillion times. You are just the trillionth bro to take my comment out of context.

Cool story bro. For the TRILLIONTH TIME, my comments were a general statement about the need to sometimes make left turns in traffic. I never said that I believe that the truck driver wasn't at fault for this particular accident.

Jesus christ. For the umpteenth time in this discussion, I will point out that there is “what the law states” and then there is “what actually happens in everyday driving.”
