I wouldn't say "happen to". Objectively horrible people and the conservative viewpoint are drawn to each other like filings to a magnet. Some causation there.

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why you believe that feeding people or entertaining people, both of which are labor, are not worthy of real compensation? The issue often is less the hourly wage (which does need to improve) and more the other factor mentioned - the scheduling.

I guarantee you they’ve crunched the numbers and found a wage above which it’s more economical to invest in a robot workforce.

Even pre-covid, I would commonly witness fast food and dollar story locations go out of business because they could not get enough people to work. I am not sure what economic theory posits that it is better to go out of business than pay what it takes to get workers to show up, but a lot of companies operate that way.
