I love how people call her a war criminal although she has literally done nothing that qualifies as a war crime (simply conducting a military conflict is not a fucking war crime) but have zero problems with the guy who has basically stated he would commit war crimes when elected.

This. I had a similar discussion with a guy who plainly stated that Obama was coming for “our guns.” This was about three months ago so I asked him when Obama was going to do it since, you know, he’s about to leave office after 8 years. He calmly responded, “Well, now, Hillary’s gonna do it.”

I asked one of my Co workers, that had uttered the words “Hillary should be in jail”, what was so fucking damning in those emails, and she couldn’t come up with even one thing in the emails. These are the kind of people we are dealing with.

I legit don’t know how much longer I can pay attention. It’s literally starting to affect my health. The anxiety that this man and his supporters cause me every day feels like an elephant is sitting on my chest while stabbing me in the ears.

Frankly, I wouldn’t blame Clinton (or Obama) one bit if they just flipped us off and went and lived the rest of their lives in peace and luxury.

In Obama’s defense, he’s actually kept more of his promises than most presidents and he has made multiple attempts to have GB closed.

My different-but-still-tinfoily theory is that he was bitching about it being rigged so he’d have something to blame when he lost. He was ready to bitch about how crooked Hillary used illegal votes and a rigged system to get elected and drum up some fevered hate that he could channel into ratings for Trump News…

My partner is convinced that all his claims of rigged elections during the campaign were a ruse to get Hillary Clinton to agree to accept the results, because he knew that the election was being rigged in his own favor somehow.

I usually tell people to ask themselves what the people/articles telling them whatever specious “fact” have to gain by them believing it. Many people who believe this stuff were never taught how to spot obvious cons, which is why Trump’s voter base so neatly fits with people who were swindled by his college/timeshare…

What can be done to combat this kind of thinking? I have immediate family members that just flatly refuse to grapple with facts-- when they’re confronted with them, they just say, “I don’t believe that”.
