Now put Kerri Russell and that puppet in Mandalorian STAT.

It’s not an especially romantic kiss. I’d attribute it more to the emotion of the situation than any sexual desire on Rey’s part for Kylo/Ben.
That hyperspace crap started with Force Awakens. They very clearly setup a 15min timetable at the end of the movie to try to increase tension. But all it did was break hyperspace.
A couple of things:
Yeah it’s very well established that they don’t have hyperdrives throughout plenty of canon media.

Thank you for being the voice of reason. Was TRoS an enjoyable film (yes), was it also flawed in some ways (yes), was it way to much for one film (god yes), but more than anything it was the starwars and the end of the Skywalker saga. One last indulgence to wrap things up.
Basically every review I've seen so far says it's like 2 films crammed into one. Wonder if that had to with the middle part of the trilogy completely dismissing the first part of the trilogy.
That sounds like someone trying to tell me what happened in a movie, not what I remember seeing in that movie
I have to think this is what they get for not having an overarching “showrunner” to the trilogy. Giving full creative control to each writer/director combo in each film of what is supposed to be a coherent three movie story was never a great idea. From this and other reviews it really seems like this is JJ Abrams…
However, a heroic act by Jedi Master Luke Skywalker was set to inspire the rest of the galaxy to rise up and help the small group of good people defeat the huge collection of bad people in the galaxy.
This sounds exactly like TLJ: a bunch of random ill conveyed and unearned “events” duct taped together with nostalgia and pretty lights.
As a TLJ hater, I assure you I take no pleasure in this. I want to like Star Wars again... But this whole new trilogy has been poorly handled. It’s not the actors, but the writing, directing, and production decisions are legit bonkers. So much potential has been wasted.
So it’s a J.J. Abrams film: Generally very enjoyable in the moment, but if you stop to think about anything, little-to-none of it stands up to scrutiny. Ultimately, (not to open this can of worms again) it’s “just” a theme park ride. Given the level of excitement that surrounded Galaxy’s Edge though, maybe that really…
JJ Abrams ended up making a movie with some interesting setpieces but had issues connecting the setpieces with anything other than fanbait???
in the works for Disney+
Amazing. That is neither original, funny, or a rebuttal of any of my statement.
Who said starring in a big blockbuster means you should be getting auditions? Many actors have been in big movies and didn’t have a huge career. Maybe he needs a better agent? Maybe he isn’t a fit for the roles he is going for? Also I’m pretty sure he will star in Aladdin 2 without an audition.
If this is “in poor taste” because it bases a show around a white actor’s character... couldn’t the same thing be said about (*checks notes*) almost every other TV show being made? They’re all equally bad for not casting an actor of colour.
The original folk story of Aladdin wasn’t apart of the Arabian nights catalogue of folk legends. That’s because the original story of Aladdin is Chinese.
