I found [with a test image from my iPhone] that Windows was unable to remove the GPS location from. It was able to remove everything else. I'll be testing out the EXIFTool in Ubuntu shortly.

Oh wow, this kills my 3G. Average available memory goes down to 18MB and I can't keep more than one app open with backgrounder. The phone goes horrendously slow now...iOS4 slow...
