Alright, but if I want to do multimedia intensive tasks, I'll get on my desktop. This new MBA sounds like it's what I want. Small, light-weight, and it'll handle casual gaming along with casual work. What else would I want to do with a computer of that form-factor?

I dunno, man. I'm pretty happy with my 5870 and Q6600. I don't need to recreate the universe.

@Sirobin: 71TB? All the cool kids got 72TB.

@justin0025: Lets compare "slow" to "user needs and wants" just for a second. Not everyone needs an i5...though, while impossible, an i3 would be preferable to the Core 2 Duo they shoved in it.

@gizmodocon: THAT'S GAY AS HELL THAT PISSES ME OFF /South Park

Maybe I should test my 5870 and Q6600 @ 3GHz with AA and AF off. With them on [and a 1680x1050 resolution] I get between 50 and 67 fps on average. Obviously playable, but I certainly wasn't getting 98fps.

Oh man. Tiny computer, SSD, something [hopefully] other than Intel's Atom in a small form-factor, and maybe a discrete gpu? This is something I could probably sink my teeth in. If it's not too expensive of course.

It's games like this that make me want a Wii.

I only have a need for voice chat really. Video is nice if you have the bandwidth (curse my 256KB/s DSL).

COCK JOKE

@Howe: I know lol, I ended up researching and doing it late last night/early this morning. I don't need an unlock since I'm on AT&T .

@Howe: Really? redsn0w can jailbreak 4.1 on a 3G?

*sad* no iPhone 3G support.

No iPhone 3G support? Some of still have that phone...

@SnowHydra: 10.04 was launched April 29th, 2010. The format is "Year.Month" Some people like to call Lucid Lynx 10.05 because there was a bug that made them re-spin the disc images and launch them again on the 1st of May.

@Ben Graff: huh, Ubuntu 10.10, 1010, converts to 10, which will make another 10 to make 42!

@scingram: I'm not up for paying for the content, but even if I was, my shitty 256kbps DSL stops all my networking activities dead in their tracks.
