There’s the holographic and then there are watermarks in the reflective paint also. I think they’d both be pretty easy to identify by a trained cop who’s used to looking at legit plates all day. A counterfeit should stand out pretty clearly unless it’s a damn good one.
Many of the printed plates I see have holographic shit on them for an anti-counterfeiting measure.
