Honest question:  What is the “You Remind Me Of My Jeep” clue?

The silver paint framing the windows looks shitty. I get they were trying to imitate the polished trim on the Jeep, but this is poor implementation.

Only reason a car would get better MPG at higher speed due to gearing is that the gearing sucks. Lotta cars now have CVTs and the MPG is reduced as speed is increased. Takes a lot more power to push a car through the wind at 90mph than 60. This should be common sense to anyone.

Manuals have been surpassed by DCTs for performance applications and CVTs for commuter applications for a while now in terms of objective performance.

Also, we don’t see auto MFGs changing a turn signal stalk to some button interface on the steering wheel ...

A used Corolla is an extremely high value commuter car.

I noted the caveat. It’s still exceedingly rare in anything that’s not running a TH350. And anyone else is smart enough to input the values in a gearing calculator.

Pointless math. Very few cars are gearing limited anymore, and many hit top speed in a lower-than-final gear.
