This is really more due to necessity than anything else. There's a disproportionate number of female characters in game. Marriage gives some nice bonuses to players and it's tough to find an available partner without the change.

I hope these unlocking requirements aren't to scale. Otherwise everyone playing it is screwed. If you want to get a sense of what I'm talking about, try checking out the video at the following address and skip to about 4:10.

@zgreenwell: That's exactly the reason why. Better to leave off on a high note then some vain attempt at a comeback.

You may want to double check the numbers. The guy who valued Castle Karstaag at 1.5 million gave Queen's Castle from ICO a value of 2.7 million. The highest value given for either of them was Peach's Castle at 10 million.

200 points is kind of a drop in the bucket. There are some items that require you to spend as much as 15,000 points. That roughly translates to $150 for an item in a "free" game.

How exactly does Kefka qualify as a dandy. I've played Final Fantasy VI at least a dozen times and Kefka having a sense of fashion is a thought that has never crossed my mind.
