Kors' plus line is hideous. As soon as people figure out he's phoned it in on everything else too the lawsuits are going to be the only way he pulls in cash.
Damn I'm old/foreign...
Hush, my love. No one here is going to judge you, just let it all flow out of you. Imagine that you are in a river. Fish are swimming by you, bears are swiping at the fish, but you are just letting yourself flow along and it's so relaxing. Now imagine that the bear is capturing all the mean fish and letting all the…
Hushums...hushums...Don't cry beebee. You're safe here, you're okay. You can just let it go. You don't need to hold on to all that misogyny and racism here. Just let in flow out of you. BREATH IN THE GOOD (EXHALE OUT THE BAD.)
Makes sense. Also, the lines between human and animal is a little blurred too. Let's have that lady holding a lamb chop in the next video.
Only if we can sample some Kirk Cameron reading biblical passages throughout the track.
Meeeee too. Remember: We can still like problematic things and be critical of them. (I'm really into the fact that the women are wearing comfortable footwear, too.)
It's the assumption in this song that is the problem. "The way you grab me, must wanna get nasty" Nope, maybe she's just grabbing you cause she wants to see if you're wearing a butt prosthetic. Maybe she's trying to steal your wallet. Maybe she's just really into Dirty Dancing right now and she saw Patrick Swayze do…
I think another distinction could be that this is mainstream and pornography is not. (You can't turn on MTV and see hardcore pornography to my knowledge.) The choice to consume pornography and segregate it as something sexual to be consumed in a sexual context exists (or should.) That's a problem here: we're not…
This is a rad song, but holy shit. Let's just meet halfway and play "Got To Give It Up" over this song when it comes on the radio?
Do you think it might be a good idea to turn off the computer and think about the life choices you're making?
I think my fontanelle is still open...
I bet the condition can actually be traced to this man:
I understand your point, but it's not Jez or the media at large making that distinction. Whether or not we think it's helpful, that's the reality of the situation. In order to correct an imbalance, you should first acknowledge that it exists. The film industry has yet to do that.
I agree that female actors get fewer chances, but the point is that they are blamed when their films tank, as opposed to what you are doing right now -explaining why the film actually tanked instead of blaming a female-centric plot or stars.
I hear that it was about monsters that could smell fear, so in order to save the day, Little Smith had to literally NOT FEAR. I'm really curious as to why no one saw it...
I think the point is that the failure of these films will never be attributed to the male stars, whereas when a woman-centric film fails it's generally regarded as because people don't want to see women leads in movies.
I wanna un-star it so I can star it again.
