Years ago on my first lessons as a pilot one of the first thing the instructor showed me was that planes just don't dive to the ground if the engine or propeller stops. He turned off the engine in mid flight and we both took our hands off the controls. The plane would drop, then glide back up.. then drop.. then

The FDA is a corrupt system backed by private companies. If it was in the interest of some company to regulate something, they certainly will do it, and likely fill their pockets with cash along the way. Don't think for an instant that the FDA is doing anything that is in the best interest of your health. It's all

Trust me, AT&T will charge you full price for the next iPhone unless you wait the full two years. They used to give a discount at 1 year, then a full discount at 2. That has changed. The only reason they gave you the discount recently was because you were a new customer (to them). God forbid you ever get a phone

Agreed.

Done. Phone works better than ever with a custom ROM. Still awaiting the alleged update by LG though. Doubt I'll ever see it. Custom ROM will get me by until I can replace the phone late this year. ;)

So.. what about when you have a good password that is easy to remember, complicated enough, but a certain site (**cough** Gawker) gets their PW database hacked and you have to change it. ;P

Meh.. give me a 1.5ghz quad core, 1-2gb ram with 64gb storage on which I can install ANY tablet version of Linux I want for under $500 and I'll be in line for one. Until then.. meh.

Just sayin. ;P

Not a huge fan of LG after having a brand new smartphone made by them that's stuck on Froyo still because of slow updates. It may come with 4.0, but it'll probably never see an update beyond that, at least not until the next AOS release is two years defunct.

+1 for the best chuckle I've had all day. ;)

It gets bad when say.. a large publisher discovers 'hey.. if I publish College Algebra II for iBooks I can't print it elsewhere.. oops.. better keep it off iBooks then'. In short it means anything on iBooks will never be seen in print elsewhere. It also means you'll never see anything in print show up in iBooks

"...basically telling me I had shit for brains and they take piracy seriously, so go cram walnuts up my ass." Best. Analogy. Ever.

Agreed.. make a bigger sphere.. scan a human. Then color me impressed. ;)

Agreed.

Seems like a way for Intel to cash in on the fact that people skip the 3ghz processor model which is $100 more for the 2.4ghz model and then overclock to near 3ghz anyway. But I guess it's cheaper and will allow us to push the processors further without hurting the wallet. Problem is, 50% of the time when I see a

It's called the "Circle of Poison". Just because it's illegal here in the US doesn't mean we can't produce it (the pesticides), sell it to overseas customers.. then buy the same damn fruit and vegitables back from them on which they used the same illegal pesticides. Happens. Every. Day.

Not too concerned about the death of the switch, button, etc... but how about the death of print? We now have publishing houses discontinuing paper printing in favor of electronic media. Once paper print goes away we'll all be happy until some air bursts a nuke and wipes out the sum knowledge of mankind as we know

Yup, bend over if you're a 'long time valued customer'. I have 3 dual dvr's now in my home, and dropping to being able to record only 3 at once while watching another will start arguments. Wonder if there's a reduced rental fee for the units in each room.. probably not.

I got sick and tired of PowerDVD not having updates for new releases so I switched to ArcSoft and was much happier. Every time a new movie came out it would have new protection and PowerDVD would not have an update to play it. Drove me crazy to get home with a brand new Bluray movie and not be able to play it

Nice in theory.. I can transfer domain names, but my hosting packages which are prepaid for up to a year at a time are not transferrable. If you host just names at godaddy.. yea, switch on the 29th, but if you're like me, you're stuck with them until services renew. I will, however, be switching when that date
