States’ll go to any lengths to avoid the only real tax that works. Income tax.

It doesn’t sound like this is even about breach of contract in the first place. If it was that simple, he’d have sued them immediately. It’s not at all clear what crime is actually being alleged here because there’s nothing illegal about privately lobbying corporations to change their ad policies. It would only be

Hey Elon, remember the ‘go fuck yourselves’ statement to your advertising customers? They listened, they left, you lost business, stop crying.

Yep they complain all day about cancel culture while also joyfully participating in it.

This stuff is just red meat for the base. The right absolutely loves boycotts and retaliation against “woke corporations” like Disney or AB, but when one of their own darlings is the target, they scream bloody murder.

Given that the Supreme Court is now basically just “whatever rich right wing assholes want”, I guess anything is possible.

To my ears, the “go F*ck Yourself” statement that Elon made sounds a lot like a legally binding and hard to misinterpret release of any advertising contract that a company might have had with X and its CEO.

Jalopnik can do as Jalopnik pleases, even tell hard truths about things that might make you uncomfortable—-in the interest of informing its broader audience. Jalopnik reports on all vehicles of all sorts, be they cars, trucks, cybertrucks (sigh) , planes, and yes, even the odd yacht. That they choose to report on

Waymo said in a statement shared with AZ Central the the issues faced by the robotaxi were as a result of “inconsistent construction signage” in the area

Didn’t say u=turn guy got a ticket. Just pulled over.

U-Turn Guy: yeah, probably a bit of an overreaction by the officer to issue a ticket

This is so nuts that somebody would design a car like this.  What problem are they solving, having these electrically operated doors?  It’s so stupid, I don’t get it.  Also flush door handles, what problem do they solve?  They look cool I admit, but other than that, why?  Looks like they might actually be dangerous.

Model 3/Y handles don’t pop out, they’re actually manual levers that activate an electric popper. Which boggles the mind, why not make them mechanical since you’re already pulling on them to open it. You can still keep the electric open button on the inside.

There’s panel you can pop out on the bumper with two wires behind it. You jump to those two wires which pops the hood. Then under the hood you have to remove more panels to get to the actual 12v battery jump terminals, where you can then get power to the battery letting you open the doors. SIMPLE!!!

It baffles me how a vehicle designed to hold 90 plus kwh of electricity in it’s battery pack cannot keep a 12 volt battery topped off.

If only there was a way to open a lock without electricity...

So we own gas cars (or electric cars made with petrochemicals), the grid is dependent on hydrocarbons, and we can’t grow enough crops to feed the world without hydrocarbon-based fertilizer. The world population could never have reached anything like its present 8-9 billion without the use of oil and gas. The idea that

But it seems to have to be said over and over because the Tesla stans continue to deny it.

Wait! He got a thousand chumps to lay down a combined $250 million and he’s gonna make them wait at least eight years for this piece of vaporware? And not one of them demanded their money back?  That’s just stunning.

I remember most Elon Tesla stan fanbois tried to give me deep understanding about why Cybertruck was released earlier first than Tesla Roadster despite Roadster’s prototype was shown first before Cybertruck
