Agree with this. Twitter has made everyone an “expert” on things they’ve never actually consumed. It’s like we’ve all gotten really comfortable talking about things that we just recently read an article on in Wikipedia, and we all feel our opinions are therefore super legit.

To be clear, traits aren’t demonized unless the story links them strongly to the negative aspects of a character. Characters have traits. If a villain has black hair, that doesn’t equate to demonizing people with black hair. If the villain smokes, that doesn’t equate to demonizing smoking. Unless the story is saying

I’m quite capable of being offended without feeling the need to freak out when someone I disagree with says words at me, or has a platform, or whatever.

If her villain was a cis person would it be demonizing cis people? Your villains are going to have characteristics. Doesn’t mean anyone is being demonized, sorry.

Look, honestly, no one should be using any social media on federal devices unless they are the social media manager for some department. Those are tools for work, not for play. It’s not like these folks don’t have cellphones in their pockets that belong to them; they can waste their time on those.

Well if you use the energy produced by nuclear to do that work then yes.... it is carbon free.

Folks, be real. The efficiency level isn’t going to be high enough to replace fossil fuels. It just won’t. Battery tech is also part of the problem.

I’m going to go ahead and recommend you read Vaclay Smil’s “The Way the World Really Works” for a giant, well researched wake-up call on this. Nuclear is really the -only- technology that’s going to viably help us replace fossil fuels. No, the tech will not advance far enough in a decade or two to get us there, even

I’m actually sad about this. I was an early adopter, and probably a member of the actual demographic. I don’t play games enough to want to shell out half a grand for a gaming rig, but I play enough that I want some quality choices. Stadia did that for me. I got to play some great games at great fidelity. The only

They are probably right, the question is just will META be the company that delivers that.

You’re a professional though. That means you do the work even when you are tired. That’s what the money is for.

Reader of news articles here: It would be great if this story included some kind of summary of what exactly the controversial parts of the license, or what detractors don’t like about it. You know.... like in an article. 🤦‍♂️

So I guess the question for me is: was this the only event? It sounds like Pitt was drunk and there was fight. While that is gross behavior, unless it is a pattern that has happened several times, I hesitate to think of the man as an “Abuser.” In the span of a human lifetime, many otherwise good people have moments

Editor voice here. Did it crash to earth “over” the Bering Sea or “into” the Bering Sea. And if it didn’t actually impact the earth, then is “crashes” the right word, or is something like “burns up” which is later used in the article more appropriate for the title?

This is a good first step.

Reiterating that the DeSantis crew is gross and creepy on this issue is not exactly hard-hitting reporting, Gizmodo.

Now playing

I really want to like Peacemaker, but after John Cena’s grovelling video apologizing to China for calling Taiwan a country, I can’t really bring myself to support anything he’s in.

Not nice.

Hey the guy is being a jerk, but you’re actually using hate speech here. Please stop. It’s not making the world a better place.

Your starchy goodness is thickening this thin stew of journalism with flavor and volume. Thank you!
