To be clear, traits aren’t demonized unless the story links them strongly to the negative aspects of a character. Characters have traits. If a villain has black hair, that doesn’t equate to demonizing people with black hair. If the villain smokes, that doesn’t equate to demonizing smoking. Unless the story is saying

I’m quite capable of being offended without feeling the need to freak out when someone I disagree with says words at me, or has a platform, or whatever.

If her villain was a cis person would it be demonizing cis people? Your villains are going to have characteristics. Doesn’t mean anyone is being demonized, sorry.

So I guess the question for me is: was this the only event? It sounds like Pitt was drunk and there was fight. While that is gross behavior, unless it is a pattern that has happened several times, I hesitate to think of the man as an “Abuser.” In the span of a human lifetime, many otherwise good people have moments

Putting Duel at 26 is basically madness. It’s easily one of the tightest / best of his films, and demonstrates his actual skill as a director before all the cash turned his films into special effects buffets. This is -his- Reservoir Dogs.

No. I don’t think they have to wonder. It’s more surprising that you think this is surprising.

Well played.

If you ever, ever, EVER suggest we skip pumpkin pie again, you will be relegated to the hell where you get no pies AT ALL.

RE Atlantis: Well, “they” said the same thing about Troy but there was actually a fair bit of legitimate archeology and historical research that generally pointed to the possibility of it being an extant location. As in, it wasn’t regarded universally as complete hokum, and there were specialists (with for the time

Don’t get this. I am an idiot and did this. The deals are not much better (if at all) than any given search engine, and FORGET it if you need multiple seats.

This is one of those issues that could just breeze onto the house floor and get a vote. Sure, congress has a full agenda, but this is the kind of “fairly simple” no-nonsense bill that would have a material impact on people’s lives and actually not require major infrastructure that the federal government would need to

Depends on the type of work. Rote work that requires less mental acuity only tends to suffer margianaly, and the dropoff can be strongly mitigated by incorporating a few breaks and a meal. I’ve seen at least three experiments around the concept in a production environment and the trade-off seems net positive for

THIS IS THE ONE.

You lost me at rom-com.

Are you saying that no men are marginalized?

Agree. People love to beat up on him like some monster. He’s really not. He’s a famous person with some opinions that people disagree with strongly. There’s this weird thing happening here where once you decide you disagree with someone, you get to treat them like garbage and ascribe to them all kinds of stuff they

He’s not wrong about the alienation of young men. Pretending it’s not real and crapping on them as not being marginalized enough to have earned the right to feel bad is, frankly, really mean and heartless.

Are you kidding me? I’ve never heard ANYTHING but “catch a tiger by the toe.” It took this site to make it racist.
