Uh no.... I get the satire. I actually think it -IS- good that they didn’t show his face until the end and that the reveal was a “non reveal” because of how bland the reveal is. I think it works really well that his face is just normal, predictable, and exactly the actor’s face.

I think the non-reveal reveal was actually kind of great. This is a very very strange take.

Kind of like when you read a headline that says “Thank God The Batman Trailers Didn’t Show Paul Dano’s Face” and you think “this will be really interesting” but then you click through, read the article, and think “Well, that was uninteresting, boring, and didn’t really add anything of value?

Same. I don’t think there was any need to do anything at all with his face. This was exactly the intent. This guy is normal, even “wimpy.” PS also a cold blooded killer.

This. It’s like Google software now. Something gets released and you get a slight wave of excitement before realizing “wait I can’t invest energy into this because it’s probably going to be gone soon.” So you live without it.

Mr. Beast.... shudder. Quality 100% depends on whatever kitchen they are outsourcing. Ever had a Mr. Beast burger made at a TGI Fridays kitchen? It’s an experience.

I get the analogy but it is less like ISPs and more like retailers..... Don’t like our brand of butter? Buy the other brand of butter. This isn’t really at all like ISPs because, as you mentioned, most people only have access to one or two. But you can get access to like a dozen streaming services regardless of where

We look forward to seeing your scripts generate billions of dollars of sales.

Stop making reasonable arguments on gizmodo. That’s not wanted here. You’re just talking to people who don’t have the attention span to process what you are saying.

But just to be clear, you are saying that if such people did make shitty artistic and interpersonal mistakes, we shouldn’t look at their art either?

It’s not a double standard. Biden doesn’t work for Netflix. This is specifically about a standard at Netflix. It would be a double standard if Langella were the President and everyone was upset about him acting this way but not upset about Biden.

I get what you are trying to say, but a “double standard” has a fairly

Just wanted to express gratitude for an unusually non-inflammatory and well thought out response. If more people debated / commented with this kind of tone, we’d all be better off.

Yeah, Dafoe already actually starred as THE NOSFERATU, but in a movie about the fictionalized making OF Nosferatu. Shadow the Vampire was pretty fun. Here he is in makeup:

I’d argue most sandwiches are better WITHOUT cheese. Sauces are where the magic happens.

Someone didn’t read the article huh?

I’m hoping that the crew comes off as slightly more adult / professional than the Discovery crew. My friends have affectionately renamed Discovery “HugTrek” for all the feelz emphasis. I dunno, maybe that resonates with more people, but I’d like a slightly more stoic posture.

Just referencing that many of them also had similar stories but that it’s easier to find those documented as cellphones and portable recording devices were more common by then. Much as I dislike foxnews, there’s a clip they had that is probably one of the easiest to find. You’ll have to hold your nose on this one,
