I don’t think that “one of the most basic rights of a human” is to be called what you want to be called. Might be one of the most basic courtesies, but that’s not what a right is. I really really dislike fox news. It’s pretty obvious that light / dark (as in Day and Night) are the more likely root concepts behind this than anything having to do with skin color. White / Black are abstractions from this at best. It is the night that holds terrors, not the skin.

I’m very disturbed by the act of dismissing complaints based on the racial identity of the speaker. It’s one thing to talk about the specific characteristic of complaints and to note commonalities between the complaints, it’s quite another to start dismissing those complaints under a race-based label.
