Because laws are made by people who generally have no science background and no economics background. Their primary qualifications are wealth, likeability, and posturing. Every now and then you get a few law makers / representatives who buck that trend, but our electoral system favors personalities, not…
Until they fully integrate this into a normal looking piece of eye-ware, Google Glass is going to remain a niche gadget with a niche following. I desperately want to love it, but even with the better frames, this thing still hasn't coasted into "acceptable" territory for the vast majority of potential buyers.
Walk into any pharmacy and take a look at the "health supplements" area. All that stuff is basically unregulated as well, with no real quality control. As long as they make no specific health claims and just limit descriptions to BS like "helps improve health" etc, the FDA does nothing about it.
Can we stop using the word "revolutionize" as a stand-in for "slightly better UI?"
Actually, strawberries are getting pretty big.
Is there a way to turn off the music on their website? It literally made me leave the site after 10 seconds. I couldn't take it.

I recommend listening to or reading Brian Dunning's tear-down of the experiment, especially if you are a lay person. There are a ton of issues with the whole thing, bordering on relegating…
Just a nitpick: Why are there more and more Before and After pictures that are actually being shown as After and Before? Seems like a good way to confuse people. Everyone knows the phrase "before and after" so why muddle it?
Oh wait, it worked? Gee, I wonder why it worked. Oh right, because the lure is ahead of the click and the nonsense is after. So you're saying it worked? I didn't know that. I wonder why I posted this in the first place?
Absente? Can't taste good. The fire stuff is just an affectation anyway, very few serious absinthe drinkers would ever do that.
That looks like a death trap.
