Running on a track by yourself is so much cooler than a parking lot, that it's probably worth the price difference. ($225 and autocross are rarely found in the same sentence.)
My little experience with autocross was filled with cone-deciphering anxiety. But still fun!

Wow, what's NOT to like about this car?
2,800 pounds, good looks, good power, RWD.

There are plenty of new cars I admire, but not many of them pass the "would this be more fun to toss arond than an old foxbody Mustang" test. But at that weight, with any decent amount of torque, this seems to be a contender.

I know your time with the car was limited, and you were pretty full of froot loops, but, based on your limited impression, which would you prefer to own, this or the 135i? 135s are available out there at decent prices, and I kind of want one. (But a part of me still has a hard time seeing anything over 5k as a "decent

Excellent example. As much as a pain it is to pay for car repairs, it's way worse when you aren't actually buying any replacement parts, but rather paying someone to chase down diagnostic codes. I like you, FRS Guy.

I didn't see the fox anywhere in the video, kinda bummed, it was the most interesting car of the lot.

Yes. YES.
They are entertainers, they entertain. They are pretty good at it.
THAT'S ALL IT IS.
I like it, but geez, the quoting, the jokes, the pictures, it's painful sometimes.

Beautiful car. I fell in love with the clown shoe too, man they are holding their value really well. Makes it hard not to buy a Z4 instead. (Which is also a beautiful car.)

I know that guy who called you a Minardi(well, not you specifically, but you know what I mean). He's a good guy, he didn't mean anything by it. He's not even a writer here, he just helped with the commenting community a few times. Haven't seen him here in years though.

I really should drive them back-to-back before preferring the Fiesta, but you're echoing what many auto journalists have said: The Fiesta is just a more pleasurable driving experience. Sure, I'd have more storage space with the Focus, and I could hold more persons in comfort, it's quicker around a track, and it makes

The price gap is pretty small. I have not driven either of the cars, but everything I've read points to the Fiesta being the more engaging car to drive. As someone looking for a zippy little city car, that appeals to me.

The three door looks really good. Did you test drive other hatchbacks before buying the ST? It's priced close to the GTI and Mazdaspeed3, and I just wonder how it compares. (But I don't want to test drive ANY of them, or I will end up buying a car sooner than I want.)
Congrats on your car!

This is the car for the year for me. First time I've evolved to the point, where yes, I could get a Mustang with MOAR everything, but this car, this car is about fun. And I like fun.

Solracer, do you know who else on here has a Fiesta ST? I want to hear all about them.

That makes sense, nothing really wrong with the functionality of a roof rack.

My only problem with this is that there is no third bed on the roof. All that space, doing what, nothing!

Sure, you could buy a new or used Miata and throw 11k at it at Flyin' Miata and pretty much build this car up. But for whatever reason, I've never seen anyone actually do it. This thing has been passed around the journalist circuit for the last two or three years, and everyone loves it, but I've never seen it

Woah, you did!
This is me backtracking a bit. The phrase "The answer is always Miata" may well be yours. But, the actual response of "you should buy a Miata" coming up in 80% of responses has been happening forever on The Car Lounge. (The only other possibilities, if you want 4wd=Jeep, and if you want to spend

I can't say I've detected an unfair bias toward BMW products on this site. They score pretty highly no matter which source you read. But if I am forced to be curmudgeonly, I will complain that Jalopnik has coopted "The answer is always Miata" from The Car Lounge and uses the slogan as if they created it.

I believe it, and I'm envious. But the expectation for cars in that price range is that they should be great. Sure, some are better than others, but they all should rank pretty highly. A car of this price on the Worst list would be interesting. I just want to hear, in Travis' opinion, what car scores highly given more

I applaud this list for being very specific as to WHY the worst cars were the worst.
