Not a huge horror fan, but that trailer has just the right mix of intensity and intrigue to make even me curious. This looks like it is going to be more intense, but I was a big fan of the level of horror (and the lack of jump-scares) in Us. I’ve got my fingers crossed for this one.

Exactly.

The jokes about The Sunken Place are getting really unsettling. If I didn’t understand that greed is strong enough to have a person sell their race to the highest bidder (because that’s her only value to Republican’s, right?), I’d think Candace Owens was legitimately a white woman wearing a skin suit.

I agree with this. I kept coming back to L4D for the same reasons I’ll return to a rogue-like; each run is new and what familiarity you have allows you to be organically better at surviving each scenario. I think there is an argument to be made that the scenarios didn’t change quite enough to capture the same level of

“When workers are forced to play mask and vaccination police, they put their lives at risk.”

The cases do feel very similar in that way. It also reminds me of the scene early in One Night In Miami where Beau Bridges won’t let Jim Brown into his house, despite having so much “respect” for him. Even if a racist can stomach seeing black people out in public, having a black person near/in your home is

The attorneys said that he likely mistook the house for a similar looking home next door that houses a temple that is open to the public.

Classic:

This is what he think a car chase looks like? Love that fucking compassion in his voice when he dismisses the pregnant woman’s concern for both his and her safety. Pulling over in a safe location is for the officer’s own good. Another case of a cop who views everyone as a criminal first.

“But I’m sure boys sit around all day talking about their penises

I’m fairly sure if The Root every wanted to replay “The Blacker the Content the Sweeter the Truth”, “White People Are Crazy” should probably be in the running.

I don’t think I’d heard of “Sundown Towns” before. Just when you think you’ve heard it all, you find out The Purge was already a formal, nightly occasion in some places. Like a fucking starter pistol.

Definitely depends. My elementary school had the local air raid siren in the yard.

didn’t like that this platform was being mocked and had so few readers.

When was the last time she said anything worthwhile that was backed with a fact or evidence? Really not her style.

This is a “dunk” on Conservatives? What? You think you couldn’t find a Democrat to make the same mistake? Of course you could and that’s why it isn’t even a half-decent attempt at criticizing Conservatives.

As someone who is generally anti-gloating, I understand the repulsion of perceived back-patting about the ‘trick’... which is what it sounds like you’re uncomfortable with.

This. It’s mind-blowing! Not surprising, but damn is it amazing.

The escalation of stupid retorts is an exemplary demonstration of digging a deeper hole. Holy hell, them getting chanted out of the pool area is a satisfying conclusion.

Personally, I don’t see how humiliating the opposition qualifies as ‘being like the Republicans’ anymore than breathing, eating and shitting do.
