He’ll always be Todd Rivers to me

I wonder if people also yell out “Father!!!” and pump their fist down at him.
It’s the little things that bring joy to life, like being able to read Matt Berry quotes in Matt Berry’s voice.
Industry players used to talk shit like this ALL THE TIME, and I deeply miss it.
And the little quips like Teal’c with gold makeup going away etc..
SGU was a bummer, it started out a bit off I think, but really was hitting it’s stride just as it got cancelled
Some of my favorite episodes being with the words “previously on” and then reference individual episodes from 3 different seasons, and goes on to combine them into some new bit of lore that makes and elevates all of them.
One of the things I really enjoyed about SG-1 is that unlike Star Trek—which I also love, but in a different way—it rarely ever took itself too seriously. I especially loved the inside jokes about MacGyver and the fake SG-1 TV show: Wormhole X-Treme.
I also like to think of the last two seasons as a continuation of Fars…
I recently rewatched Atlantis and have been rewatching SG-1 for the millionth time. I’m surprised such a rich universe was allowed to just simmer and die when it is ripe for good storytelling and fun adventures.
I think Universe being the last surviving show was the nail in the coffin. It is by no means bad, but it’s…
That’s already how I remember it, is that not how others do? Tight interconnected storylines. Things introduced in early seasons have impact and use multiple times season by season. Lots of call backs. Things actually matter and have an effect.
I really want the tone of this to basically be Ally McBeal with superpowers.
Cosigned, Tingle is a blessing on literature and the whole world.
Chuck Tingle is the exact opposite of cursed.
Cauterization by lightsaber heat is pretty obvious. Dude is just salty that you shot him down.
I imagine that variant was extra quirky whereas the big bad version will probably be less so. If he's playing a bunch of versions of Kang then there will certainly be an assortment of performances ranging from subtle to campy.
Sometimes in life you make a stupid and costly mistake and you just have to live with it because you were stupid.
To be fair, the casting of Tenoch Huerta sharply raises the bar for any Reed:
I think Nakia makes more sense, she at least has the field training kind of thing a BP would need. Shuri seems like someone who rarely leaves the lab.
I don’t think that’s Wakanda. The pyramid in the background of the opening scene looks Aztec rather than African design. With Namor played by a Mexican actor and looking to have a pre-Columbian aesthetic himself, I’m guessing MCU Atlantis is/was off the coast of the Yucatan peninsula, and that’s what we’re seeing here.
