F1 is the biggie. I generally watch it in the evening so avoid social media all Sunday til - WHAM - "Alonso wins on home turf" or other such email alert pops up on my iPhone lock screen.

This is my second time in a Gallardo (#humblebrag), and once again I was a little shocked by the braking. The pedal is a bit numb at first and grabs further down in the travel. But it grabs hard. It's unlike the brakes on any of the other cars that I've recently driven, so it takes some getting used to.

I just read through the insurance docs from Jaguar for an XKR they're loaning me for 2 weeks. Frightening stuff. If I was of the pessimistic persuasion I'd refuse the loan. It's 3rd party insurance!

Took me an hour but a rigger would shoot up in 30 minutes or less. I had to stop at each rest platform for a...rest! I also used double lanyards because there wasn't a rail-lock system - and that's hard on the arms

Mandating such driver aids is a stupid and horrible thing to do and would only increase lack of observation and engagement at the wheel.
