When you think about it, outside of the number of people that want to drive the car off the lot immediately, car manufacturers could run with a lot less inventory if they simply had maybe one of each model/engine/trans combo (maybe even not all the trans combos) to test drive, with delivery made at a slightly later

So these people aren’t actually technically contractors, they’re real UPS employees, though often temporary employees or at least temporary in that position (package handlers at night, drivers during the day,) driving trucks that UPS itself rents out for the holiday season. As someone said above, FedEx Ground drivers

I’d be shocked if they had GPS, but multiple deliveries made to multiple addresses in a very short time frame would suggest some shenanigans to me. It’s hard to make a delivery at 7:56:44 and then another at 7:56:52 when they’re a tenth of a mile apart.

I’d be surprised if they didn’t have stricter oversight of their delivery people, but it could be because the FedEx drivers are independent contractors and UPS and USPS delivery drivers are actual employees of the company.

Scanning several at their truck, then going through the neighborhood delivering them?

I had it happen last night. Got a confirmation at 8 PM so I checked outside and there wasn’t anything there. Package arrived today. But they’ve also delivered them post 8 PM, so I can’t just assume they didn’t show up late either.

The threshold for the estate tax is $5.5 Million. If your house is worth $500k, there’s still $5 million in estate value left that also won’t be taxed. At this point you’re willfully ignoring all the information that’s been provided to you in these responses.

Chickpeas also make a great alternative to chicken nuggets. They mash together much firmer than black beans do.

Just the other day I was listening to the season 1 soundtrack at work. It’s made up of the synth-heavy original music they had for the first season. Great background rhythm without having intrusive lyrics as you try to focus on work.

Can we do first and lasts on all the companies GM has killed?

I was wondering how the hell he had enough time to fit three dozen speaking engagements in last year.

Coilovers up front, struts in back and both tie rods on the 05 Malibu. Should buy quite a bit more comfort.

I have the same tool, and pair it with the Lezyne patch kit. The levers fall off of the kit relatively easily so I wrapped a velcro strip around the whole thing. It takes up about the size of a wallet in my seat bag, and I’m covered for almost any incidents I run into on the road.

That same Mazda 6 hatch is what I thought when he said there hasn’t been a major midsize fastback available. This one was a fastback, and had a hatch to boot.

Bingo.

Years ago I had listed a crappy shelf system stereo that I no longer had use for. I listed it on Craigslist for $25. I got one response, from some kid who wanted every little detail about it. I sent him a link to the original manual, and he still wanted to go back and forth on information on the thing. Eventually I

It’s one double-stripe away from being an unholy alliance of the Raphbug and Torchbug.

Moreover, they gain that broad pool by requiring that people have insurance if they’re to drive a car, similar to the mandate required in the ACA. Yes, I understand that the concept is different that you gain a privilege of driving vs being required to carry health insurance no matter what, but the concept remains the

Yeah, those two specifically were what I had in mind when I was talking about highly questionable levels of reliability. The Cooper isn’t too far behind, either.

So at first I was thinking there wasn’t a huge market for sub $5k convertibles with fewer than 100,000 miles on them. All I could think of were the Fox body Mustang, the Lebarons and Sebrings.
