You can still buy games, you just can’t use a credit card while on the store on your PS3. You log in from your phone to buy what you need, or add points to your wallet and then buy it on the PS3. It’s really not a big deal.

Sony isn’t closing the PS3 store. I mean obviously they will have to eventually, but as of now its not planned.
