I'm reluctant to follow people's orders online. If you do and it works, that person feels like a know-it-all (even if you were going to do that the same thing anyway). I just bought my first pair this week. I've been jogging a lot recently and tried using my iPhone earbuds. They flew out after my first 5 steps. I'm loving the clip-ons. They were a pair of $10 JVC. I'm not expecting them to last very long but if they go more than a year I'll be satisfied.

Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. You're likely to roll in the dirt a bit. On top of the that, the paint doesn't always come off as easily as you'd like. Wear thicker clothing.
