Thanks for the link, I just posted over there! But yeah, this shit's getting China level censoring.

Awwwwwwwwwww. Thank you. That made my night.
I come to Jezebel specifically for the community, and that includes you. Thank you.
Meaghan or whatever her name is, the new writer, isn't really helping much either. Her tone is always so snarly. I don't come to Jez to get into internet-wank arguments with my fellow commenters.
As I look around the Jez-ish internet at related comments tonight, I see multiple people posting that they have been banned, deleted, or suddenly grayed for no particular reason. Either Jez has stumbled over a hideous technological glitch that is fucking over its commenters, or they are intentionally trying to drive…
I think this may be entirely the point. Jezebel used to be much better about promoting feminism, although admittedly there have always been problems, race being a prime example. I don't think anyone expects perfection. But the tone has shifted recently and I feel like that shift has really picked up steam in the…
Oh man. Thank goodness I missed that one the first time around!
as you are now 'not a feminist site', I'm curious about if that means that you no longer believe that men and women should have equal rights? Y'know, the definition of feminism?
It was last year. Here's a link to the OP: Did Libyan Video of a Journalist's Rape Get Posted on YouTube? [Warning: Graphic Images]
I don't get the comment system promotion at all and their shitty explanation is shitty. I'd been commenting on gawker sites for years under various names (even back when they had to approve you first). Then I was grey. Then I was black. Now I'm grey again. I give up; I don't even give a shit anymore. Especially of…
Something weird happened to me today too. So my posts on Jezebel always post grey, needing to be promoted, but on Gawker I used to post black right away and were always near the top of the page, even when they hadn't been promoted. But today, all my comments posted gray and when I went back to the articles to see…
Definitely agreed!
What the hell?? I missed that completely, when was that?
Google still lists it as a feminist blog (of course, I know that google isn't the be all and end all of information sources and probably just not up to date), and the general mentality across the internet is that it is a feminist site.
Question Jezebel, as you are…
THANK YOU for posting this. I don't know what the heck is up. I was given non-gray status pretty quickly after I started posting on the site and then last week, for no apparent reason (and none I can think of), I was suddenly banished back to the gray. I don't understand it at all since I am a hardcore feminist and…
I agree. This pile on is grossing me out and turning me off this site. From what I've known of Jezebel, this vitriol towards someone is uncharacteristic and mean-spirited. In the weekly gossip column, the author mentioned how gross America's obsession with Amanda Bynes is, so I'm continually surprised and disappointed…
Replying to promote. A comment SHOULD NOT be deleted just because a dissenting opinion is expressed!
The only people who I've read saying Jez isn't feminist are people who are upset about some topic in the blog or threads. I still consider it a feminist site, though some of the trends mentioned here have bothered me: body-snarking (definitely out the window), mean-spirited comments, and me being all grey all the…
Unfortunately, I think the editors of Jez have been pretty insistent that this is not a feminist site. (I can't remember the context exactly, but it was around the time they posted an uncensored screenshot of a rape video on YouTube.)
I also support the message sent here. I think of Jezebel as this amazing please to empower all people, but especially women. I do not think attacking celebrity women in this manner does much for promoting womanhood.
Really not cool. But with people saying that, I'm pretty sure that I have had a post disappear too, I couldn't find it in the grey. BKBXDC's whole threat will probably end up removed, being 'controversial' and all.
...Jezebel isn't a feminist blog?? No one has informed Google. Seriously though, that's news to me, but…
