I’m not sure this is completely fair. A lot of people read reviews for movies before they watch them, to determine if they’re worth it, and usually those reviews share whether they’re going to spoil the film.

I think the issue is, it’s not entirely clear up front whether it’s a deeper dve into the details of the film or a review (which also discusses what happens in a film, just with restraint and the audience not having seen the film yet in mind).
