He’s the same age as me and I’m like “A sandwich for lunch?  That seems like a lot of work.”

I think people hate him for being everything Saul isn’t, and part of the magic of good narrative drama is making you identify with the protagonist despite their failings. People hated Skyler in Breaking Bad because she often stood in Walt’s way, despite him being a sociopathic criminal by the end and her just being a

Now playing

Not sure where people got the idea that Australians were all named Bruce.

The actor playing young Kim was great. She had that sharp‐eyed glare down pat.

And the fact that the bomb explodes when he turns off wifi also a nice hilarious touch since they can both operate on the 2.4 GHz band and can interfere with each other.

The bomb app was amazing. After he was all ready to go, the queued image on his phone that is was still ‘pairing’ was pretty hilarious

Just the fact that there was a bomb detonator app had me in stitches. Hank allowing all the permissions (especially location tracking) had me laughing so much I had to hit pause to recover.

There’s a poster for Little Shop of Horrors on the wall in Gene’s house, featuring himself as Seymour (it was both a movie and a play long before 1986). A clue of some sort? Maybe someone gets eaten by a giant plant in the season finale?

“Can i share personal information with market research? Sure, why not?” killer me

These articles are fine, but they are definitely more recaps than reviews. I find myself having to delve down into the comments for insights and opinions.

NoHo Hank: “Peep this.” *proceeds to give app every permission imaginable*

I’ll admit to being biased herethis looked like a steaming pile of shit based on the trailers, so I was expecting a middling-to-negative critical response. This glowing review took me completely by surprise, so much so that it read to me like a retooled press release. But every review I’ve looked at this morning is

I love Noho Hank’s texting style.

I groaned and laughed simultaneously when he said “Mr. Manity.”

Hugh Manity?  Good Lord, that show sounds awful.

a personal favourite overlooked joke in the episode was ‘mr manity’ ‘please, call me hugh’. laws of humanity’s main character is literally called hugh manity. props to the writing team with that one

In the comics he uses the Steven Grant identity to become a businessman and make some investments that take off and he sets up SpectorCorp that funds his equipment and vehicles like Wayne Enterprises does for Bruce.

What do you make of the SPKTR vanity license plate on the limo? Marc wasn’t rich so far as I could tell, but maybe Jake has somehow been using his name to build some sort of assassins corporation? Is there a SPEKTOR Inc. in the comics anywhere?

This is exactly how I felt about it. In general it was fine, but the gravitas of the cast (especially Isaac and Hawke) really carried it.

The CGI on Taweret was outstanding.   I loved the way her ears kept flipping back and forth.
