Yearly? You could buy any EV for the other 350 days of the year and rent a car for the annual trip.
This EV won’t work for me because the commute to my job is 20 miles each way and once I get there they don’t give me enough money to buy this car.
I don’t even consider “Per my last e-mail” to be excessively passive aggressive. To me, it’s succinct and to the point. But I’m the person who is out there trying to normalize more direct professional communication without all of the equivocating bullshit that we often expect (particularly from women) in the…
You can pry “Per my last e-mail” from my cold, dead fingers. It is the perfect level of frustration to display in a professional setting when none of your nimrod colleagues exhibit even basic reading comprehension. Or when they’re simply trying to offload all of their work on you and aren’t taking no for an answer.
Plus he’s playing Wonka soon! Jinkies, now that’s a whole (choco)lot of delicious coincidences...
A monocle, maybe?
It also lowers contamination below the pandemic threshold, that’s the main point.
I work in the hospital and after a year and a half, I FINALLY got it myself this Sunday. Of course I’m vaccinated...and I had about 36 hours of mild respiratory stuff with a headache and all over body ache (don’t think I saw my sat <96% with my little Amazon pulse ox). Now I have to just sit here for the next 10-14…
And you can still transmit it to people who are at higher risk or unvaccinated due to pre-existing conditions or age. Everyone should still be wearing masks in public, vaccinated or not. Also, long covid is not something anyone who's relatively healthy and vaccinated seem to consider, you can survive the disease but…
Shoot as an adult I don’t even know how to answer “how was your day” sometimes.
Can we just hire Levar Burton and get it over with?
Or a combination of the two, where we remove the incentive to see student loans as a wealth vehicle (and thus become predatory) by removing any interest while lowering the federal guarantee over time to zero at non-public schools. A big part of the student loan crisis is the unreasonable set of expectations set by…
It might also would also be cool to spread some kind filling over the top and make a roulade.
Add this to the list of foods we’ll fight over the corner pieces for.
A friend opted to replace her lawn with rounded pebbles, Zen garden-style, with a few trees and bushes here and there. The beauty of this is that she chose pebbles and rocks that are pale grey, so there’s minimal absorption of heat (relatively speaking). And of course it’s supremely drought-tolerant and looks fabulous.
Aisha Jordan and Lifehacker editors, you really should retract this post.
I have yet to see a single synthetic lawn product that looks remotely realistic
Amen. There's a movent to do away with the European aristocracy-style turf lawn because it's a plant desert that sucks up a lot of water. Natives with low water requirements are the way to go. And have you been on an artificial lawn on a hot day? It's miserably hot. As in competing with concrete or asphalt hot. That's…
Um...no. Unless you want to contribute to the excessive flooding that all ends up polluting our waterways and devastating our aquaculture.
