They had the expectation that an article about a navigation app on Carplay might mention the fact that another one is coming shortly as well and to look for it this fall.  A reasonable expectation from a gadget blog.

Why so butt hurt? The post’s author even commented here about Waze being addressed when it is available in Carplay, without any attitude whatsoever.  A post about Google Maps would have been even better if it HAD addressed the fact that while this is out now, Waze will be out soon and we will see how that works on…

The wording is clear and references an older post indicating that Waze (owned by Google) was coming to Carplay this fall. Since the post is about Google Maps, and Google also owns Waze, the connection/relevance should be obvious. And Waze, is not available yet— which is what prompted my comment in the first place.
