I wasn't saying to lie - I was saying to legitimately get another offer at company B and tell company A that you want to be working in a new department by Thursday or you'll be accepting company B's offer on Friday.

But that's ok because like, Apple, was using 4:3 ironically. So now, like the other manufacturers are trying to be cool but Apple was totally using 4:3 before it was popular.

I'm more of a 21:9 kinda guy myself. I want my phone screen to fit in a pocket knife, and watch the original cinema quality Avatar in 3d while I drive to work!

that was my thought too, 4:3 with a 1024x768 res? Should have been OMG YES MINI-iPAD!

I'd say it more along the lines of something like this:

Counterpoint: Here in PRC Taiwan is NOT another country or culture, just another part of China. So they're not saying "he's not Taiwanese, he's Chinese" they're saying "Correct, he's Chinese" - kinda like being Texan and American.

My favorite option is the ability to disable "native Lion fullscreen" because that crap still doesn't work with multiple monitors.

I agree, the shift needs to take place to start treating them more like a computer - if you want to install vista on a '95 era machine, go for it but the consequences are yours.

And now you know, the rest of the story. Good night.

Gizmodo loves and takes very good care of its interns, who are provided ample opportunity to learn and build experience.

there's nothing new about this at all. The same thing happened when 2.2 was released. If if it continues is the same fashion then around Q2 and Q3 a lot of these will be "revised" to Q3 and "will not upgrade".

You had me at the first part, and then you lost me. First, the Droid is only 2 years old now and second, I still don't get how this:

I don't think that's necessarily correct, for example I run a Moodle instance (online courses) and all courses are set to back themselves up nightly - and the whole site gets backed up nightly too (courses at 11, site at 3 am).

if it's a local mount you don't need to use rsync, you can just use cp

I can't say I really enjoyed this as it was buggy as all hell for the first month, and then they released an "update pack" that needed to be purchased, which I didn't buy and never played it again.

their current ethernet to usb ports are crap. they they a gigabit connection and bring it down to 10mbps - and you can't netboot from it.

counterpoint: I use my MacBook Pro for "pro" purposes - and I have my ethernet plugged into a gigabit port every time I'm at my desk because I'm moving 100s of gigs of files to and from the network.

They've already done it with the SSDs in the Airs and the HDDs in the iMacs (special apple-only firmware)

Allow me to introduce you to the Seagate Momentus XT line of hybrid drives. Those things are awesome!
