Robert Duvall is always great, but him as Gus in Lonesome Dove to me is just at a different level. When Diane Lane as Lorie eventually falls in love with him despite the age difference, you get it, yes this guy is it

Well, since it appears he didn’t say anything about it, then I suppose your point doesn’t mean much.

I know that subheadline was written to purely be clickbait snark, but seriously fuck you.

Because you don’t always have that kind of time. Sometimes your kid or your pet is moments from doing something dangerous or stupid and you have to do something about it now.

Are you being deliberately obtuse or are you actually dull enough to not get the absolute basics of why pausing is a good thing for games to let you do?

Souls fans really do be like “It’s genius design and not a laughable failure of conveyance that people skip the section intended to teach them the basics of the combat system.” There could be a bug that deleted your save file and a lot of these people would be like, “HA HA, vintage Souls, I love it!”

This is pretty in line with the rest of the game’s misleading hand holding design philosophy. So let’s say you ignore the hole in the ground and run straight outside. You see your first enemy (the Tree Sentinel), have a go at him, and get stomped hard. The game is saying, “Psych, you’re not ready yet, go back.”

I love this type of baked in tut because you can totally skip it when doing a new build to save time. Really enjoying taking my time and avoiding spoilers for this amazing game. BTW Congrats on the big win! Glad to have Kotaku and it’s writers back!

Yeah, no. It’s the same stupid jokes over and over. They waste time and, I assume, the limited number of messages that are displayed at any time in an area are being wasted on stale jokes. I hate them and I hate that this article is going to encourage more of them. I wish there was a “funny” tag for them so I could

Forget parrying. Use critical counter instead, you stay protected (as long as you have endurance), and melt their stance meter.

I think picking up crafting materials in this game (and many, many other open world games) is the worst part about it. I loved HZD and am enjoying this one so far even though I’m not out of the opening area yet. But after a big robot battle I’m just running around for ten minutes pressing triangle to pick everything

Sure, but “Two to Tango” features an implied “It Takes,” which therefore includes “Take(s) Two” and is even somehow worse because the unspoken implication is a subconscious embedded psychological olifactatious phrasiology that literally beams a trademark violation directly into people’s brains! Take Two will not stand

I guess they were grumpy that Activision kept getting all the bad headlines and decided to start waging completely insane legal challenges that will cost tens/hundreds of thousands of dollars, garner bad will, and absolutely go against them because their claims are stupid.

Ah yes, the dictionary definition, which supersedes any de facto role that one of six producers might actually play in a movie’s production.

“Singling out the continent of Africa yet again...”

Celebrities are most likely to have high-end boots that rarely, if ever, encounter actual dirt. Those are obviously the boots to lick, if that’s your thing.

Red Dead 2 had some of the best fishing mechanics I ever played in a RPG video game.

Papering the floor with Islamic religious texts in a WWII Stalingrad setting seems very intentionally designed to insult.

The character & writer spell it “Shiv.” Her name is Shiv.

Well see what happened is that she shot sex scenes for the show, and she spoke about her experience with it to someone who was writing a book.
