I think the biggest attack on car culture is coming from the stringent regulations that make cheap-enthusiast cars difficult.
I know it's a oranges and nectarines comparison, but this car is much more worth its price tag than the optioned-up $100k Boxster S. And I think they will be even more affordable a couple years down the line and a few miles from now.
