Your forgeting this is a Gawker owned site. It's like a requirment to have at least one gif a day.
What I don't get is the fact that the GT3 is supposed to be the pursuitist car. So why the hell is it PDK only? Serously, with all the resources VAG has you would think porsche could make a manual transmission varant. Shows how much Porsche cares about driving purity. Count me rooting for the up coming Z06 and Viper…
(looks at press pics, sees no manual). You here that! That's the sound of used 997 GT3's going substantualy up in value!
0:55 And now I think I have I new favorite word: Jetaphor.
Masive amounts of want comeing in 3,2,1......
I blame the entire metality that you can never propery enjoy a car's dynamics in the real world. That may be partly true, but I guarantee you'll have more fun driving a peppy little supermini (like a 500 or Mazda 2) rather then a dreary Nissan Versa.
Looks like GM actually has designers after all. Serously, this looks really damn good. I think that's partly due to the fact they got rid of the vent near the B-piller and as a result the character line flows much better on to the rear deck. Of course that's only looking at a front 3/4 view, but I still can't believe…
Go for the F430. It's the best track preped of the pair, and is sure to be the most fun as well.
I'm just hoping VDub finally makes a GTI varant.
Science!
Tell me, why do people sit in the woods all day just to catch a glimpse of a rally car while there was racing like this going on back at the track?
If they were truly sticking to the light sports car philosophy then it would have a manual folding roof in the name of saving weight. And they'll need to shave every pound, because between the added weight on an already power strested engine and the loss of structural rigidity I wouldn't be surpised if the Miata beat…
I now desperately want a tuned Panther with a six speed manual swap. Anybody have a spare 5.0 Coyote laying around?
I'm don't know much about tires, but I do know that they can be a life or death difference when it comes from lap times. The difference between a super aggressive summer tire and a barely legal semi-slick has to be at the very least one sec.
